  Walk  of life is a book, written in a biographical style, about the places  related to Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler songs and history. Through 366  pages it travels to the cities that inspired their songs and views some  of their more important moments. Based  on the book "Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler's London", it has been  expanded to include many other cities to become a new book, further than  simply the London references of the former edition. It  starts with Glasgow, the city where both Knopfler brothers were born,  followed by Newcastle where they grew up, then Leeds and the first steps  of Mark in music and the arrival to both brothers to London to fund  Dire Straits.
